A letter from our President...

Welcome to the Delta Omega chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan!

My name is Janee Hitaj, and I am the President of Gamma Phi Beta! I joined Gamma Phi in the Fall semester of 2018 as a Sophomore. I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to lead an organization as amazing as this one, where we focus and strive to achieve our four core values of Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty.

I previously held the positions of Academics Chairwoman and Risk Management, before becoming President this year! I am also a part of the Honors College, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, and Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society. I served as the President of the Undergraduate Women in Healthcare organization at OU, the Secretary of Greek Council, and the Minor Workshops Officer in Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society.

I, along with countless sisters of Gamma Phi Beta, stay actively involved on Oakland’s campus.

We have sisters in almost every club offered at OU, where numerous of them serve on different executive boards. We not only strive for excellence within the sorority, but outside of it too.

Love: The memories and friendships you’ll gain from this chapter will be ones you’ll remember for the rest of your lives. Love, our first of four core values, shines strong throughout our years in Gamma Phi Beta. We have love for our chapter, each other, our philanthropy, and other community-based volunteering events.

Labor: Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive partner of Girls on the Run International. We give girls the confidence to dream big and inspire the female leaders of tomorrow. We raised over $10,000 for Girls on the Run last year and are hoping to reach or surpass this amount this upcoming year!

Learning: The Delta Omega chapter of Gamma Phi Beta here at Oakland University prides itself on academic excellence. We have received the Highest Greek and Panhellenic Award, Highest New Member GPA Award, and the Scholastic Excellence Award from Gamma Phi Beta International.

Loyalty: The membership in Gamma Phi Beta is one for a lifetime. To be a part of this sisterhood is to be a part of a growing chain of strong, confident women of character.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this amazing and life-changing organization.
