A letter from our President...
Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Delta Omega Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Oakland University!
My name is Alissa Shulin, and I am the president of this extraordinary organization. I joined Gamma Phi in Fall 2019 as a freshman. I am now a senior, and my four years in Gamma Phi have taught me so much, from self growth, developing my leadership skills and showing me what true friendship looks like. The relationships we develop are truly for a lifetime.
Over the course of my years in the chapter I have gotten the amazing opportunity to lead the chapter in many areas. I served as the Education Vice President, Financial Vice President and now President. I could not put into words how these positions helped me grow stronger not just individually but stronger with all of my sisters in the chapter, and I am truly grateful for everything Gamma Phi has brought to me.
This year we have many exciting events coming up! We will soon be hosting our annual philanthropy event Moonball. This semester we have had many sisterhood and social events. Also, coming up in the fall we are looking forward to our annual sisterhood retreat and Founder’s Day Celebration.
To me, Gamma Phi Beta are not just three letters, they resemble my home away from home, where I feel truly loved and accepted for who I am. This sisterhood is one filled with love, and acceptance. Gamma Phi Beta sisters truly live out our core values of love, labor, learning and loyalty everyday, striving to be the best we can be and that is something worth holding onto.
Thank you for visiting! Enjoy our site!
Sincerely,
Alissa Shulin
